We are delighted to announce the appointment of Sanjiv Dubey as the Head Coach of the Fiji Under 19 Women’s Cricket Team for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers in Bali, Indonesia. Sanjiv brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to this crucial role.
Sanjiv’s exceptional coaching abilities were demonstrated during his tenure with the National Under 19 Men’s Team in 2023 in Darwin, where his leadership led to remarkable achievements, including victories against formidable opponents; Indonesia, PNG, Samoa, and Vanuatu. His outstanding contribution propelled the team into the next leg of the EAP qualifiers in Japan in 2025.
In the recently concluded Australian U19 Men’s league, Sanjiv coached the Afghanistan Eagles and guided them into the finals, where they emerged victorious against many formidable teams from Pakistan and India. This success further underscores his prowess in developing young talent and leading teams to victory on the international stage.
As a Level 3 High-Performance Coach and a Level 2 Strength and Conditioning Coach, Sanjiv is a prominent figure in the Sydney grade cricket system. He has contributed significantly to clubs such as Hawkesbury Cricket Club, Blacktown Cricket Club and Randwick Petersham Cricket Club in the NSW state league. Sanjiv currently serves as the Director of Cricket for Blacktown, one of the largest cricketing districts in the state.
Sanjiv’s commitment to cricket extends beyond coaching; he is a dedicated full-time Physical Education teacher with the NSW Department of Education and has made significant contributions as the Sydney West Girls Cricket Coach and Convenor.
Sanjiv will join the national team in Suva from 5 May before embarking for the World Cup qualifiers from 13 to 21 May 2024.
