The Fiji Under 19 Cricket team suffered their second lose to New Zealand in the Under 19 Cricket EAP World Cup Qualifier currently being played in Darwin Australia. New Zealand was sent to field after the Fiji team won the toss and decided to bat. The team never found their rhythm in their innings as the New Zealand bowlers were very accurate in their line and length. Fiji managed to only score 45 runs and the baby Black Caps surpassed the total with the loss of only 2 wickets. Fiji is currently on fourth position after four rounds of games and will have to win their remaining two games in order to better their standings in the points table. The competition is a big learning curve for the team as this is their first international game on turf ground for them. Batting coach, Sanjiv Dubey commented that today’s game is a great learning experience for the boys batting and bowling playing against one of the best team in the world. Fiji will be on bye tomorrow and meet Vanuatu on Sunday at 12pm local time.
