The rainy weather in the capital city did not deter the spirit and enthusiasm of the quarter finalists for the women under 19 cricket competition yesterday. Gospel High School succumbed to a much-experienced Suva Grammar outfit losing by 10 wickets. The experience of Kiera Amoe and Talei Colati proved to be the “X factor” for the ladies from Nasese.

The other quaterfinal saw Tailevu North College defeating Lami High School by 8 wickets. Sereima Adikula’s innings of Tailevu North College proved to be too much for the bowling attack of Lami High School.

The third and forth quarterfinals will be held today at Albert Park grounds [1500hrs] where ACS Red vs John Wesly College; and ACS White vs William Cross.
