Fiji U19 Defeats Vanuatu

The National U19 team won by 35 runs against a gutsy Vanuatu U19 team at the DXC Arena 1 today. Fiji opted to bat first and scored 66 runs in 21.4 overs before Vanuatu chased this score; but only managed to score 31 runs all out by the 14th over. The national team managed to win by 35 runs. Joeli Qalokimoala was the player of the match taking 6 wickets for 16 runs. Jazray Browne top scored with the bat scoring 20 runs. The national team gained 2 points from this win and will have a bye tomorrow and rest day on Tuesday. Fiji’s final game will be against Samoa on Wednesday.
