REVIVAL OF UNDER 19 CRICKET

Cricket Fiji s thankful to the Ministry of Education in endorsing the coordination and facilitation of the Fiji Secondary Schools Under 19 Cricket competition for both male and females. The pandemic has a say in the organising of the tournament for the male’s version when it was abruptly ended in March 2020 due to Covid-19. The female competition was revived after a lapse of 6 years.

This year the tournament was held in the 2 districts of Suva and Nadi as we want to identify the interest of the sport in the schools. We are fortunate to have 28 teams playing in the U19 competition with 14 males and 14 female teams altogether. Eight male and female teams played in the Suva competition and 6 male and female teams in Nadi. We would like to thank all school Principals, parents and supporters for their support during the 2 competitions.
